Since many of our members and their families have food allergies, we started an alternative cookie exchange so people could know what ingredients are in the treats. Many of our cookies -but not all- are gluten, dairy and/or refined sugar free.
Bring one half-dozen cookies per person/family attending. (We’ll provide a headcount by Dec 2.) These can be homemade or store bought – the goal is to have fun, not stress out. Also bring a copy of the recipe or ingredient list, and a container for swapped goodies. Savory snacks and tea will be provided.
All leftover cookies will be donated to the Bay View Community Center for their annual cookie distribution to seniors. Bring extra cookies if you’d like.
Special Addition! The Sharp Brothers will provide knife sharpening services at their standard rates (about $6-9 per blade) during our fete. If you are interested, bring your knives, shears, and even lawn mower blades.
We welcome adults and babes in arms to this year’s event. Location is a cat-friendly home (just one!) on Milwaukee’s East Side. Address and further knife-sharpening details will be provided upon RSVP.
Holistic Moms Network is a national non-profit organization providing information and support for people interested in natural living, holistic health and gentle parenting. Everyone is welcome to attend our monthly meetings to try out one or two events before becoming a member. Children are always welcome at our meetings.
