Event: Alexander Technique with Katie Fittipaldi

March 11 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Developed by F. M. Alexander, the Alexander Technique is an educational method used worldwide for over 100 years. By teaching how to change faulty postural habits, it enables improved mobility, posture, performance and alertness along with relief of chronic stiffness, tension and stress.  Are you looking for more EASE in your life? Please join us for a spirited and interactive introductory workshop where you will learn about the core principles of the Alexander Technique and how to apply Alexander Technique to any moment (including parenting!).

The workshop will be lead by certified Alexander Technique teacher, Katie Fittipaldi, AmSAT.  Katie received her Master’s degree in Classical String Performance from the Irish World Music Centre, University of Limerick, Ireland; and her  Bachelor of Music degree from Ithaca College. Katie graduated from the Alexander Alliance School in Philadelphia and completed the training requirements to become a member of AmSAT  through Alexander Technique of Syracuse. Since moving to Rochester in 2003, Katie has had a full studio of cello students and has taught Alexander Technique lessons and workshops to many groups. Katie is delighted to work with anyone interested in Alexander Technique and has a special interest in teaching the technique to children.
