Friends, eat your dessert first (then go get dinner after) at the Sixth Annual HMN Alternative Cookie Exchange! This year’s event is for adult members and guests, and babes in arms, on Sunday, December 4, from 230-5p. Do note: Host’s home has one friendly, elder cat.
Because so many of our members and their families have food allergies or preferences, we started hosting an “alternative cookie exchange” where people could know what ingredients are in the treats. All of our cookies are labelled at the event, and many (but not all) are gluten, dairy, and/or refined sugar-free.
Whether you bake or buy, guests typically bring around a half dozen treats per person attending; we will cap the cookies needed if our group gets large, have no fear. The idea is to connect, taste, and be merry! There are always more than enough cookies to sample, take home to family, and donate to a local organization. A few savory treats and tea will be provided.
