The entire family is invited to join us for an outing to the first of the Wonderful Wednesdays outdoor concert series at the Lake Park Summer Stage. Geared for children and their families, the one-hour concerts are free and open to the public. On June 21, songwriter and author Jim Gill will host a sing-along, clap-along party! Jim will bang out the energetic rhythms on his banjo while kids and parents can clap, jump, dance, and stomp along.
Feel free to bring food and beverages to enjoy. The park has some picnic tables, but chairs and blankets are welcome. There’s a playground nearby as well.
Concerts go on rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will move indoors to the Marcia Coles Community Room, which is in the lower level of the Lake Park Pavilion, beneath the Lake Park Bistro Restaurant.
The Lake Park Summer Stage is located just south of the park’s playground and tennis courts. Parking can be limited on Lake Park Road, but you can also park on Lincoln Memorial Drive and take a short hike up to the stage.
