Heidi has been an avid lover of gardening from early childhood; both her great aunt and grandmothers were very serious gardeners and had her at their sides as they gardened. She became a Certified Master Gardener in 2003 and Certified Master Composter in 2007. She lives in Port Washington on 2 acres of land which hold 13 different garden spaces composed primarily of perennials and a vegetable garden.
She loves talking to people about composting and hopes we will embrace it and try it out! Organic matter is so great for our garden’s health and even better by supporting our environment. Composting is an easy enough science with no real rules, just perseverance and tender loving care.
