We are inviting our homeschooling expert member Mandy Spiczka back to talk all things Homeschooling. As we await more answers from our state as to what schooling will look like in the fall, many people are looking towards homeschooling as a possibility for their family. We will look into some MN specifics and she will answer all your questions.

Mandy Spiczka is the co-founder and leader of St. Cloud Unschooling Network, a local secular group of homeschooling families who value child-led learning, gentle parenting, play & exploration, community, respect, and diversity. Mandy has officially been homeschooling her daughter for six years (but unofficially for eleven and a half years) and definitely believes that learning cannot be separated from life. Prior to homeschooling, Mandy taught language arts in public schools in central Minnesota for a decade. At the beginning of this year, Mandy started SHINE Together, a tutoring service unlike any other where academic concepts are fully integrated into real-life experiences, with many options to support homeschooling families.
