Event: Monthly Meeting: Fermented Foods with Ryan Dale

April 11, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Note New Day, Time & Location!  Fermented foods can play a large part in overall gut-health. Long known to be part of a healthy diet, many mainstream organizations and publications are now catching on. Even the Harvard Medical School has published a recent story. Join us in April to discuss the health benefits of fermented foods in your diet. Enjoy samples, a demonstration, and if time allows, some hands-on prep time for kimchi or sauerkraut. (We might have to take the production part to another meet up!) Ryan Dale, production manager for local Milwaukee business, Zymbiotics, loves to talk about cultured foods and will share his insights. It’s sure to spark lots of conversation! Want to learn a little bit more about Zymbiotics? Check out this October 2018 Wisconsin Jewish Chronicle story.

We’ve Changed Meeting Locations! This meeting will be held at A Space for Change, located at the intersection of Chase Avenue and Oklahoma Avenue. Head south on Chase, turn right onto Oklahoma, and enter the first driveway on your right into the industrial park. Follow the drive around the circle, and watch for the HMN signs to Building 28. Enter the brick building. A Space for Change is on the first floor, turn left and head down the hall. We made our own map here: https://bit.ly/2USEfn4

New Meeting Day & Time! Starting in April 2019, our HMN monthly meetings will be held on the second Thursday of the month, starting at 6:30 pm.

Who are we?

Holistic Moms Network is a national non-profit, membership-based organization providing information and support for people interested in green living and parenting from the heart. Monthly meetings and shared follow ups are only part of what we offer. Playgroups, make n takes, craft nights, meal trains, late-night chats online with local and national members, Facebook live events, lending library, clothing and toy swaps, and additional spontaneous events between members are what bring our community to life. Try out an event or two to ensure we’re a good fit for you.
