Join us as we learn about the links between health and the digestive system. Dr. Scott Hoppe, DC, will talk about how health starts in the gut, its impacts on the immune system and brain, causes of gut dysfunction, links to food sensitivities, leaky gut and SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth). He will also describe what we can do to improve our gut health, including eating fermented foods.
Then, we will make organic sauerkraut you can bring home to help improve the health of your digestive system right away! We’ll supply the ingredients and equipment, you just bring a glass jar with a metal lid and $3 (fee waived for members).
To ensure enough supplies, please RSVP your attendance at tcholisticmoms@gmail.com (or via Evite) by Sat. Sept. 9.
Dr. Hoppe helps people get back to restored health and function through the use of nutrition/functional medicine, functional neurology, muscle testing and chiropractic at his clinic, Integrative Chiropractic and Performance. He is enthusiastic about educating and offering natural health care to his patients and the community.
Note: Our meeting space does not have a commercial kitchen, but does include a clean kitchen that we will use to wash, prep and create our sauerkraut. If this is a concern, you may simply watch and take notes to create the recipe at home.
