Event: Monthly Meeting: Mommy Self-Care, Preventing Burnout with Dr. Kendra Haluska

May 18, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

This presentation will focus on providing strategies for busy mothers to implement important self-care techniques.  Mothers put their children and many times others first, and can become mentally and physically stressed and sick.  Learning to listen to your body’s signals that indicate a need for a break and some well needed rest can prevent many ailments, make Mommy happier and healthier, and is a great model to show our children how to care for themselves.

Dr. Kendra Haluska obtained her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University, NY.  She is a licensed psychologist in New Jersey and New York.  She has over 15 years of clinical experience across a variety of settings with a full range of populations, and age ranges.  Her therapeutic approach is a combination of traditional insight-oriented psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral approaches.  Dr. Haluska obtained additional training in Mind-Body techniques, such as guided imagery and progressive muscle relaxation, to offer adjunctive therapies to patients struggling with anxiety, depression, and chronic pain/illness. She has her own private practice with two office locations in Montclair and Somerville NJ.
