Event: Monthly Meeting: Ways to Improve Health Through Connection and Community

October 16, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Build a community that supports your values! As our society becomes more and more polarized, finding people to help us thrive through connection, support, motivation, and encouragement has become essential to prevent the health risks that are related to loneliness and isolation. What are the ties and activities that bring a community together? How do we break down the social anxiety and fears of being judged? How do we find common connections to help us raise our children? What other barriers are there to creating community? Jenica is an occupational therapist and lactation educator passionate about health support for pregnant and postpartum families. She owns MOM plus ME, LLC an in-home rehabilitation service that supports clients managing their physical and mental health during pregnancy and after birth. She believes community is central to helping families build social connection and support in a digital age.
