Come play in the hot, hot sun. Riverfront Park is Newark’s newest park celebrating the City going “back to the river”. Come play on the modern jungle gyms and run through the sprayground! Feel free to bring lunch and stay afterwards for a walk down the river to see native plants, an osprey tower, an orange boardwalk, a floating dock, a perfect hill for kite flying, and various educational signage.
There are bathrooms and water fountains, but there is very little shade in the play area. Bring sunscreen, hats, etc.
Parking and Entrance: There is a parking lot off of Raymond Blvd in between Brill St and Freeman St. If parking is not available in the lot, there is plenty of free street parking within walking distance. Upon entering the park, walk around the soccer field. You will see a play and spray area in the back, nearest the Passaic River.
