Join us as we learn about the prevention and treatment of viruses using traditional Chinese medicine with our guest speaker Dr. Wong.
Dr. Wong incorporates acupuncture, herbal medicine, tui na, gua sha, cupping, moxibustion, or other traditional modalities of healing necessary for individual needs. She treats all conditions ranging from physical to emotional health.
Although Dr. Wong completed extensive training, the most significant influence stems from her heritage and family traditions. Her grandmother was a teacher and herbalist in Hong Kong. Naturally, her knowledge and experience permeated into the family’s lifestyle and was passed down to other generations. Home-cooked meals and soups were medicine. Growing up, Dr. Wong did not know any differently because it was her way of living.
Dr. Wong followed in her grandmother’s footsteps and became a teacher for children with special needs in New York City. While she loved working with children, she felt called to work with people of all stages and ages of life and to share her grandmother’s pearls of wisdom. Thus, integrating her skills as a teacher and healer.
Location: We will be meeting at the Madison Library located at 39 Keep Street in Madison.
