Alicia Teitelbaum has been a physical therapy for over 20 years and specialized in pediatric orthopedic care, woman’s health, and social skills for autistic children. Being a mother of three has helped in her career with assessment of pediatric skills and integration of skills needed to be toddlers and adolescents. The power of play and neurological developmental are vital for children to incorporate.
There has been an increase in sensory deficiency and sensitivity as well as increase in screen time which has increased the pediatric population in need for services. This speaking engagement is to help recognize newborn reflexes and encourage them to integrate through specific play.
This will foster a mature neurological system and coordination for activities like riding a scooter, hand eye coordination for throwing/catching and eventually reading and emotional confidence.
