Bonnie Toth, co-director of Kids’ Co-op Preschool, will join us to discuss what Rough and Tumble Play actually is, and why it is beneficial to the developing brain. We will then talk about how adults can facilitate rough housing, even when they are uncomfortable doing it. Finally, throughout the presentation, different hands-on, practical ideas will be presented that will enable parents to begin to connect with their children on a physical level right away.
Bonnie holds a Master’s of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with an emphasis on Biological Science and Elementary Education. Kids’ Co-op is the only cooperative preschool in the state of Nevada, using child-centered, play-based, developmentally appropriate practices to create a safe and nurturing place for children to learn.
