Event Overview:
How, when, and why do we talk with our kids about racial equity? As parents, we want to be good role models for our children by giving them the building blocks they need to create a just and unified society. Join us as we learn some tips and resources for parents to address racism and understand white privilege. We will also explore parenting differences and similarities when raising a child of color and a white child. Facilitator: Irene Greene MSED (she/her) (irenegreene.com) is a parent of a white son and a multi-racial teen-age daughter; an older cis white, lesbian; and a psychotherapist, psychological crisis street medic trainer, and educator. A part of her practice is to provide training to white helping professionals on addressing their personal and professional anti-racism journeys.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
