Join us to celebrate Winter Solstice, the rebirth of the sun and the lengthening of days!
For the craft: We’ll be making bird feeders (or in my case last year, squirrel feeders!) Part of embracing this season, is providing for our forest friends to sustain through Winter. It’s a fun way to teach our kids about the seasons and the importance of caring for nature and wild animals. Bonus is that it will entertain them for atleast 10 minutes watching the birds get the seed!
I will bring all supplies which includes a mixture of bird seeds, peanut butter, large pinecones, and a plastic bag to transport.
We will meet at the Rhodedendron Garden and let the kids play around first, then make our way to the covered picnic tables and start our craft. Please dress for the weather!
